Pregnancy related hip and pelvis pain

A chiropractic pregnancy research review was conducted with 100 consecutive pregnancies.  The research involved 94 women receiving prenatal care. Lower back pain was reported to the chiropractor with hip and pelvic area discomfort being the chief area of complaint. The majority of the women had sacroiliac subluxation. The women meeting criteria for sacroiliac subluxation were treated with chiropractic care for subluxation of the sacroiliac joints. After adjustments, 91% of the patients had complete relief of their discomfort and demonstrated correction of the sacroiliac subluxation.
