Covid-19 Update. Plus, Ivermectin use study finally medically peer reviewed.

Covid-19 update: The media campaign to warn us that covid variants are on the rise has begun.  Please be aware that while this information is important to know, it is also not the gloom and doom that it is made out to be.  None of the covid variants that are being reported on are showing any signs of being more hazardous than the previous Omicron strains.  As we enter flu season, a full court press of news reports will be urging everyone to get vaccinated and or boosted for both viruses.  The covid vaccine is not designed to prevent the contagious spread of the virus, it was designed to lesson the negative health effects of contracting covid.  The flu vaccine is based on last year’s viruses and according to published reports is only 38% to 42% effective at preventing the flu. Numerous medical studies are now showing that masking to prevent virus spread has little to no effect on contracting the virus, as the viral aerosol particles are too small and wearing a mask will not prevent the particles from being inhaled.  Only the N95 masks offer more protection but are still not full proof.  According to science reports, most people on earth have been infected by the covid virus.  Even if people get reinfected, immune memory will still allow their immune system to kick in and control the infection far more effectively then if they had never had covid.  That being said, whether it is the flu or covid virus, people more at risk for severe cases are people with pre-existing health conditions, people who are overweight, people with vitamin D deficiency and the elderly.  This is the time of the year where one must pay attention to their immune system health by adequately supporting this essential system by eating whole foods, limiting sugar, taking immune system boosting supplements including vitamin D, zinc, quercetin and vitamin C.  Make sure that you are getting exercise on a daily basis and sleeping 7-8 hrs per day.

Ivermectin is not a horse medication!  Ivermectin is an antiparasitic medication. 3.7 billion doses have been given worldwide to people with parasitic infections.  The drug was so effective in restoring human health that the medication won the Nobel Peace Prize.  Ivermectin is on the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines and is approved by the US FDA.  Over the years, ivermectin was found to have very strong antiviral properties.  Once the pandemic started, a group of doctors call the Front Line Critical Care doctors prescribed ivermectin to their covid patients with great success.  For some reason ( think – money , politics), the drug became vilified and our government, the CDC and FDA told all physicians not to use ivermectin as a drug treatment for covid.  The infamous tweet from the FDA, “You are not a horse.  Your are not a cow.  Seriously, y’all.  Stop it” fueled the propaganda to stop using this drug for an off label use.  The irony of that statement is that close to 40% of all prescriptions are for off label uses.  Ivermectin binds to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein which limits the viruses mobility and infectivity.  One study on ivermectin’s antiviral properties showed that ivermectin reduced viral load 5,000 times in 48 hours.  The good news is that after being vilified and ivermectin drug use discouraged as well as doctors being bullied into not doing what they could to save lives, the ivermectin effectiveness study with the covid virus has finally been peer reviewed in published medical journals.  One conclusion of the study was that ivermectin distribution could have ended the pandemic in 2020.   The peer reviewed study, which took place in Peru where they routinely used ivermectin as a covid treatment, resulted in 74% reduction in excess deaths.  In India, ivermectin was given as part of an at home medical kit for those that contracted the virus.  India had a much lower number of covid deaths per population than the United States.  A study in Japan showed that once doctors were legally allowed to prescribe ivermectin for covid treatment, cases dropped dramatically.

Cardamon is a popular spice in Indian and Middle Eastern foods.  Research shows that cardamon helps maintain lean body mass and reduce fat.  Chewing on cardamon seeds has a long history of freshening breath.  Cardamon is also a natural way to boost immune system natural killer cells to help fight off infections and viruses.  Cardamon has also shown to have protective properties against breast and colon cancer.

Witch hazel comes from a North American shrub.  The compounds in witch hazel act as a natural astringent that has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antioxidant properties.  Witch Hazel is useful for a variety of skin issues such as acne, insect bites, poison ivy and even bruises.

Chiropractic care and childhood ear infections:  In small children, the middle ear passage way is more horizontal than slanted.  As the child grows older, the middle ear tube begins to slant downward allowing fluid to flow more easily.  The middle ear passage way is effected by neck muscle tension.  The more tense the neck muscles, the greater chance that the middle ear passage way becomes strictly horizontal.  This horizontal position of the passage way keeps fluid and bacteria in the middle ear, resulting in an ear infection and more than likely, antibiotic treatment.  With gentle chiropractic adjustments to the Atlas and Axis vertebrae, the neck muscles relax and the fluid in the middle ear drains naturally, removing the bacterial build-up and enhancing the body's immune response. An improved immune system increases the body's defense mechanisms, and thus promotes faster recovery and helps fight off any recurring ear infections.
