Shockwave Therapy for Injured Joints, Tendons, Ligaments and Muscles

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body's natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors in the injured tissue. The majority of patients who use this treatment have enjoyed results. In clinical studies, about 91% of patients reported successful results, including a decrease in chronic pain, increase in mobility, and other health improvements. Shockwave treatment lasts approximately 5-10 minutes.   Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, out-patient alternative to surgery for those with many joint and tendon disorders. Shock wave therapy sends acoustic shock waves into bone or soft tissue, in effect targeting the area on a cellular level and breaking up the scarring that has penetrated tendons and ligaments.
