Glyphosate weedkillers (ingredient in Round-up and found in our food supply) induce antibiotic resistance in deadly hospital-acquired bacteria, according to a study published late last month in the journal Scientific Reports.

This is the latest finding connecting commonly used herbicides to the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, with prior research showing glyphosate, 2,4-D and dicamba are able to create resistance in Salmonella and E. coli.

A recent report published by Australian environmental foundation estimates that the plastics industry is costing society around $100 billion annually in environmental clean-ups, ecosystem degradation, shorter life expectancy and medical treatments.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is ignoring risks to human health posed by two toxic types of PFAS chemicals and is failing to propose properly protective measures in draft guidelines for drinking water standards, a group of more than 100 scientists state in a published letter this month. The 116 scientists — all experts on per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) — said in the Nov. 10 letter that the WHO guidelines should either be “significantly revised” or withdrawn.

PFAS chemicals help products resist heat, oil, stains and water and are found in everything from nonstick pans to takeout containers to raincoats.

PFOS and PFOA, the best-studied PFAS, have been linked to cancers and other serious health problems. PFAS have been increasingly detected in drinking water across the U.S., and some states have proposed or adopted drinking water limits for these toxic chemicals. However, until the EPA issues its final regulations, there are no federally enforceable standards for PFAS in drinking water.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is charged with protecting important waterways from pollution, but manure from concentrated animal feeding operations, or CAFOs, continues to harm waterways — and only one-third of the largest facilities have a federal permit.

There are major lawsuits against the manufacturers of acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol) for compensation for the cost of neurodevelopmental disorders that follow due to its use during pregnancy. Acetaminophen is used in humans during pregnancy with zero data on its effects on neurodevelopment.

In July 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quietly disclosed finding an increase in four types of serious adverse events in elderly people who received Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab: acute myocardial infarction, disseminated intravascular coagulation, immune thrombocytopenia and pulmonary embolism. However, more than a year later, that study still has not been published.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has publicly warned that COVID-19 is one of the Top 10 causes of death in children aged 5 to 11, yet when asked to produce the data, they admitted they never conducted an analysis for that age group.
