Dear Subluxation Based Chiropractors:

Some days , you wake up and you feel like crap.  Maybe you are sick or maybe your in a bad mood.  Maybe depressed over a fight with the spouse or maybe you were up all night just because  you didn't sleep.

Well, guess what?  It doesnt matter at 9am -12pm. And it doesn't matter at 3pm -6pm.  Because at the start of each shift it's time for the "show" to begin.  And the show must go on.   We may give an incredible service to our community that benefits health, well being and quality of life, but we are also "performers."  Our practice members pay us to be cheerful, energetic, positive and attentive regardless of our "emotional or physical" state.  We have to be like an actor.  Once the word ACTION is yelled, all else is forgotten, and for the alotted time we are the greatest office team and chiropractors in the world.  We "play" our part, we act like our normal selves, just as we would if we had slept all night, weren't depressed, or in a bad mood.

It doesn't hurt that we love what we do and we also love to help people, so our "motivation" for our "scenes" is honest and true.

WCA Report:

WCA writes official position paper on subluxation as rational for sole diagnosis. "The position paper reiterates the WCA's position that "the unique role of the chiropractor is separate from other health disciplines and that the professional practice objective of chiropractors may be limited to the analysis, diagnosis, correction or stabilization of the subluxation."

WCA reaffirmed its commitment to work cooperatively with all chiropractic organizations, whenever possible.  The WCA is a member of the Coalition of Chiropractic. An organization made up of the ICA, the FSCO, the WCA and 14 other chiropractic organizations worldwide.   At the recent WCA Summit meeting in Washington DC,  the International Board of governors, including representatives from 9 other countries, voted to committ to working with all chiropractic organizations whenever possible as long as the said organization is working towards a fair and even approach to chiropractic care that is inclusive of the entire profession.

Quote of the Month:  " An army, to be effective, must be organized, must have a general and must have a communication system.  If the communication system is interfered with, the army will not function in a coordinated manner.  The same is true with the body and its innate intelligence and the nervous system, respectively."------- Reggie Gold, D.C.

Fact of The Month:  According to the New England Journal of Medicine, about 1500 sponges, clamps and or other surgical implements are left inside the patients bodies each year.

Thats all for this month.

P.S.  Here is information on my book, if you would still like to purchase one.

The book,  The Working Chiropractor's 4-Part Course, Build a Booming Practice in 24 Easy Steps, is actually a step by step course on patient education and practice marketing.  Most of the marketing programs are designed for internal referrals and they require almost no expense to put into motion.  There are also external marketing programs that can be implemented for little or no money.  All are ethical and practical, based on education and knowledge, NO SELLING.

The Working Chiropractor's 4-Part Course, Build a Booming Practice in 24 Easy Steps was reviewed in the January 2003 issue of the Chiropractic Journal and is featured as the main interview on the January 2003 ON PURPOSE philosophy CD from the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance.

Over my past 15 years in practice, I have purchased many "courses" form many different experts in our profession for hundreds of dollars and most have collected dust.  I honestly feel that this easy and fun to read "book" can and will help any chiropractor who reads it.

Included in the book fee is also a monthly e-mail newsletter with philosophy, practice tips and politics.

The book is priced at $59.00 plus shipping and handling.  Mastercard and Visa excepted as well as personal check.

You may call my office at 609-266-4749 to order.  Eastern Time.

Thank you for your interest.
