Dear Practice Members:
If you purchase a mobile/cellular phone and you do not read the owners manual, you will never know all that your new phone can accomplish. For instance, Your new phone may be able to send text messages, take pictures, check e-mail, play games and receive news reports. In addition, the phone also has call wait, caller ID, message centers, address books, choice of musical rings, etc.
It would really be a shame if all that you used your phone for was making and taking calls. The phone would never live up to its potential.
It is the same with chiropractic. If you only use chiropractic adjustments for aches and pain, you are missing out on so much more. Chiropractic adjustments effect every aspect of human health and performance. The nervous system controls the function of everything in the body. The chiropractic spinal adjustment, removing spinal nerve stress, improves function and health. Research shows that regular chiropractic care improves immune function, contributes to heart and lung health, aids digestion, prevents arthritis, reduces the effects of stress and so much more.
Just like the mobile/cellular phone manual, you need to read the chiropractic owner's manual.
Check out my website www.health1stdc.com for more information, or go to www.chiropractic.ie and http://www.worldchiropracticalliance.org
Read pamphlets that are in the office and most importantly make an appointment to come to the Spinal health care class.
Health Tip of The Week: Include in your diet sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds, plus walnuts and Brazil nuts for healthy brain, arteries and skin. Unless your allergic to them, which would definitely defeat the purpose of a health tip. For the nut impaired, or seedy challenged, eat salmon, sardines, mackerel and herring 2x per week for the healthy omega-3 fats to nourish nerve fibers, improve brain function and contribute to heart health. The non-allergic to nuts should do this also. Unless of course you are allergic to fish, then you should.......
Jokes of the Month: "I have some good news and some bad news for you," says the doctor. "Ok," says the patient, " Give me the good news first." "Well," says the doctor, "they're going to name a disease after you."
Q: What's the difference between beer nuts and deer nuts?
A: Beer nuts will cost you at least one dollar, while deer nuts are always under a buck
Brussels Report: Last month, went to Brussels in Belgium. Some of my favorite beers are from Belgium. Belgium, a very small country, has over 120 breweries and over 400 different types of beer. I only had a couple. Ate Mussels and frites every meal. The French didn't actually invent French Fries, they are from Belgium. My biggest treat was seeing the Mannequin Pis. A statue of a boy taking a leak in the center of a fountain. The story goes, that centuries ago, a father lost his son during a festival ( it was probably due to the beer). The father said that when he found him, he would build a statue of him exactly as he found him. Well 5 days later ( again, probably due to the beer), he found him and guess what he was doing? I bought a Statue replica of the peeing boy, they sell them everywhere. I brought it to the USA and put it on a shelf in my house, well guess where it is now? I don't know, my wife hid it. When I find that boy, I will build a statue of him exactly as I find him. It will probably have to be with him standing in the bottom of a garbage pail.
Rugby Report: I went to the Leinster Pre season Rugby match Friday night. It felt good to sit in the stands in Donnybrook with all of the faithful. (My first time) Leinster won 23-15.
I played rugby in a flag tournament yesterday at Blackrock RFC . We played in the Superleague, lost two, won two. Can't move today. That is why I am writing the newsletter. Only my fingers work.
Movie Review: Terminator 3, very good. They really tied this series up well. It was just as good as the second one , if not better. You can't match the first one, for pure suspense and fear. I can actually see where a fourth movie would come into play, and they wouldn't even need Arnold. I guess that is why he is running for Governor of California.
USA Report: I went home for a visit this past week. It was a very quick trip. I had lots to do and very little time to do it. I did manage to bring the Irish good weather with me, as it was sunny and warm while I was home. I spent quality time with my wife, saw to business, had many a meeting and hit the road after 3 days.
Dublin Report: As you are aware, Dr. Woods is on a sabbatical for a few months and I have been given the honor of taking care of all of his terrific clients. I will do my best to give you the same quality care that you have been accustomed to. If you haven't been in, stop in to see me, so I can contribute to your health with regular spinal adjustments. I look forward to adjusting all of you.
That's all for this month. Any comments, questions or concerns, please e-mail me.
