Dear Practice Members:

If the tire on a car is wearing out, the car doesn't perform to the best of its ability.  For instance the car will get less gas mileage per gallon.  The car's performance is decreased.

If a ballbearing pops out of a gasket on a piece of machinery, friction will cause the mechanical device not to perform to the best of its ability.  The machine's performance is decreased.

If the strings on a guitar are not properly tightened or tuned, the guitar will not perform to the best of its ability.  The guitar's performance is decreased.

Changes in structure equals changes in function or performance.  By changing the structure of the car tire, the machine gasket and the guitar strings, function and performance were altered.  The same goes for the most import structure in the human body, the spinal structure.  If the spinal bones are subluxated(misaligned), this obvious change in structure alters the performance of the nervous system which controls the function of everything in the body.  The body will not perform at the best of its ability, which means it will not be as healthy as it can be.  When the spinal bone is subluxated, this obvious change in structure alters the bone itself and causes degenerative changes called arthritis.  When the spinal bone is subluxated, this obvious change in structure decreases the performance of the spinal musculature.

For the body to perform at its best and be as healthy as it can be, the spinal column structure needs to be taken care of on a regular basis with chiropractic tune-ups.  Remember, changes in structure equals changes in function and performance.

Joke of the Month:  If you offend easily skip this Joke.

A man was in a terrible accident.  His manhood was mangled and torn from his body.  The insurance wouldn't cover the surgery (who would have thought that!) as they considered it cosmetic.  The doctor said the operation would cost 3,500.00 for the small, 6,500.00 for the medium and 14,000.00 for the large one.  The man asked for the large one.  The doctor told the man to talk it over with his wife.  The man called his wife.  The doctor came back in the room to find the man dejected.  "What did you two decide?" asked the doctor.  The man answered, "She'd rather remodel the kitchen."

Health Tip of the Month:   Summer sun means unexpected sun burn.  Skin cancer is a huge problem.  Please wear sun screen with a high enough SPF for your protection even on a cloudy day.

Movie Reviews:  Bruce Almighty was very funny.  The funniest scene, in my opinion, didn't even involve Jim Carrey.  When "God" makes the news reporter change his style of reporting the news, I almost pee'd in my pants.  Charlie's Angels was probably the worst movie I have seen in a long time.  Other than watching the Angels shake their booty, I was bored silly in this flick.  Veronica Guerin on the other hand was one of the best movies I saw this year.  Not having any background in this true Irish story of a murdered reporter, I thought this movie was well done, well acted, and a great story.

Pub Review:  The Hole in the Wall Pub, one of the best pubs I have been in, in Ireland.  What a great time.  Nestled against the back wall of Phoenix Park, it is one of, if not the longest bar I have ever been in.  A big beer selection, great food and perfect atmosphere.  Sunday's at 12 noon, some local pub patrons bring their guitars in the pub and have an informal jam session.  Irish music, pop, folk, a little of everything.  My wife and I had a great time there.

Wife Report:  I let the cat out of the bag a little early with my last sentence.  My wife Anne was just in town for the past 12 days.  We had a great time.  We went to two shore communities, Howth and Bray and saw some of the sights.  The rest of the time we went on historical tours had great dinners, visited some awesome pubs ( see above) and even went on a literary pub crawl.  Visiting the pubs of famous Irish authors and having stories told to us and acted out by local actors.  Good Craic!    We also went to the theater.  It was an active week and I managed to do it all while working the whole time.  Anne loves Dublin and thinks it is one of the best cities she has ever visited in Europe or the USA.

That's all for this month.  If you have any comments or suggestions please e-mail me you compliments or complaints.  Take care.
